The weekend of August 6-8, 2010, is Virginia's August Sales Tax Holiday.
During this three-day period, purchases of qualifying school supplies selling for $20 or less per item, and purchases of qualifying clothing and footwear selling for $100 or less per item will be exempt from sales tax. Retailers may also choose to absorb the tax on other items during the holiday period, but they are responsible for paying the tax on those items to the Department of Taxation.

Loudoun County Fair 2010
This week is the Loudoun County Fair!
Welcome to the 2010 Loudoun County Fair. We are so excited to have all of our friends in the community join us for another great year. Come visit us for an exciting week of attractions, carnival rides, animal exhibits, vendors and an amazing display of crafts. Our fair offers a special piece of tradition for each of you. On behalf of all the volunteers and clubs, we wish you and your family a week filled with moments you'll treasure forever. Come enjoy the sites and sounds of the fair; we're thrilled to have you.

| Weekly Pass at the Gate | $25.00 for adults ages 13 and up | $10.00 children ages 6-12 |
| Daily Pass at the Gate | $10.00 for adults ages 13 and up | $5.00 children ages 6-12 |
Admission to the fair is free of charge for:
- Children under six
- Active military personnel with a valid military ID
- Children under 15 on Children’s Day (Wednesday, July 28th) until 4pm
- Seniors age 62 and older on Senior Citizens’ Day (Thursday, July 29th) until 4pm
